Khammam NRI Group is an active NRI group with over 1700 members worldwide.The group collectively promotes growth and development of Khammam both economically and socially.

Khammam NRI Group goals and objectives are:
  • To help economically and socially under privileged people.
  • To promote good health by organizing health camps in villages.
  • To help and promote good basic primarily and secondary education in every village.
  • To help arrange shelter and care for the elderly and disabled.
  • To arrange 24 hour on-call and priority medical services for elderly parents of NRIS.
  • To help backward and remote villages by providing purified water, sanitation, and septic lavatories.
  • To identify various issues Khammam dist is facing, work with governing officials and political representivies to positively address the same.
  • To provide assistance to the students coming abroad for studies and work.
  • To help physically and mentally disabled.
  • To help our 2nd motherland by involving in local charities activities and raise awareness in blood donation etc.
  • To encourage and promote Indian culture.

Khammam NRI Group Activities:

Khammam NRI Group arranged Five Family gathering in Philadelphia, Washington DC, New Jersey, California, and Chicago areas. The group discussed various activities and projects that could help the people of Khammam origin. The Khammam NRI group decided to sponsor "Happy Homes HIV rehabilitation center as their first project. Happy home" is run by teacher Garika Lakshmiah and his wife. They have adopted over 80 HIV born orphan kids from Khammam, Nalgonda and Krishna districts, and providing service to them including lodging, boarding, medicine and education. They have also have identified over 400 HIV effected kids and are looking for donors to support them. Khammam NRI Group decided to solicit funds to sponsor 100 kids.Its costs $250 for each kid per year. Khammam NRI group is requesting all philanthropists to contribute for this good social cause.
